Week of new beginnings.

So this is a week of new beginnings for me. I joined Weight Watchers and I started a new Bible study this week. I have struggled with my weight for a while. I still need to lose the baby weight from G plus what I added with the next 3. So this week I joined weight watchers. I will let you know how it goes next week when I have my first weigh in.

Over a year ago I posted some reasons I had for wanting to lose weight. I am posting the revised version today.

I want to head off type 2 diabetes.

I want to be healthier at 40 than I was at 30 (2010).

I don't want to have to take lots of medication as I age to solve weight related problems.

I want my children to see healthy activity as fun.

I want my children to have healthy attitudes about food.

I want to love myself enough to be good to myself.

I don't want to be addicted to food or anything else.

I want to enjoy taking the boys on walks and nature hikes and not dread it.

I want to be the woman dh says I am.

My first goal is to lose 10 lbs. I'll let you know when that happens.

The new Bible study is really good, Me, Myself and Lies by Jennifer Rothschild. It is a great study about the things we say to ourself and how our thoughts are like clothing we wear.

I support you ALL THE WAY, chickie! As you know, I've started on my own little exercise plan over here in my neck of the woods.

Why?

Because I had to go to the cardiologist for funky heart stuff that can totally be avoided with less weight on. While I was in the waiting/weighting room, I saw what NOT taking care of myself looks like in 20 years.

More power to ya'

I know both my parents have type 2 Diabetes, it scares me. I am looking at Jillian for a few weeks down the road.

Hey, Robin!!

Thanks for popping over!

You won't have to read my blog very long to find that exercise, diets, and I are not on very good terms. I can't stand it. But, at the same time, I do realize the importance of it all. I just CAN'T STAND IT ONE BIT.

Good luck with WW. I hear that is a great plan. Props to you for takin' control of your health.

Great meetin' ya!!!

I admire you for wanting to take care of yourself for all those reasons!

I have two friends who lost significant weight on WW. I KNOW you can do it. Small steps, friend. Start with small steps!!!
